Dr. Erik den Hartigh received his PhD from the School of Economics at the Erasmus University Rotterdam (The Netherlands) in 2005. Since 2003, he has been an assistant professor at the Delft University of Technology, where he taught undergraduate and graduate courses in business administration, project management, corporate strategy and innovation systems. He currently works at Özyeğin University Graduate School of Business, İstanbul, Turkey.
His research interests fit into the triangle of corporate strategy, innovation and business networks. He is specifically interested in the co-evolution between technology development and business networks, in the strategic positioning of firms in business networks, and in the productivity of innovation systems in firms and networks. His publications on these topics have appeared in academic journals, conference proceedings, books and reports for companies.
Since 1998, he has been a part-time consultant at TVA Developments, a small think tank for strategic policy and transformation that carries out research and provides advice to pivotal companies and government institutions on complex strategic issues. TVA Developments also plays a leading role in the Netherlands in developing, publishing and implementing the concepts of mass-individualization, knowledge productivity and complex systems.
